Similarly, there is an ancient Hanumanji temple in Meghani Nagar area of Ahmedabad, which is famous by the name of Laganiya (wedding) Hanumanji. It is believed that the loving couple who get married in this temple has a happy married life. There is no difficulty in his life.
Laganiya Hanuman Temple, run by Jai Shri Dada Hanuman Charitable Trust, located in Meghani Nagar area of Ahmedabad, is world famous, where couples especially come to this temple to get married. Couples from not only Ahmedabad but also from abroad including Mumbai, Udepur, Sirohi come to this temple, famous as Laganiya Hanuman, to attend the marriage ceremony.
Big contribution of lawyers
It is said that the practice of love marriage in this temple started after the devastating earthquake in Gujarat. After the earthquake, all the courts were shifted to Meghani Nagar area. At that time there was a small temple of Hanumanji here. Then the lawyers applied in the court and they got permission to marry in this temple, after which marriages started taking place in this temple.
Lovers can come anytime
Those who got permission for marriage from the court, would come here to get married in the court and after having darshan of Hanumanji, they would start their household. Then the court was moved to another place, but the practice of getting married in this temple continues even today. Hindu-Muslim marriages also take place in this temple. Because, there is no discrimination of any kind based on caste or religion in the temple. The doors of this temple are always open for lovers at any time of the day or night.
More than 15000 marriages have taken place
Mahant Hirabhai Jaguji of Laganiya Hanuman Temple told that the court was started here in 2004. From then onwards marriages started taking place here. Since 2004, more than 15,000 couples have joined in marriage. The marriage of the couple who gets married in this temple also becomes successful. It is believed that Hanuman ji himself has taken the responsibility of the love marriage of the couple.
Form has to be filled before marriage
Most of the love married couples come here. The couple coming for marriage will have to submit documents like age certificate of the couple, ID proof, living certificate, two witnesses and their ID proof etc. along with the marriage form to the office. Also signatures are taken in the register book. NRI form is also filled here for couples coming from abroad. After the completion of the marriage ceremony, the marriage certificate is also issued by the institution.
Children of leaders and officers got married
So far, more than 15 thousand loving couples have tied the knot for seven rounds under the witness of Laganiya Hanuman. The lovers here also include children of some political leaders and high officials. In this way, instead of running away from home and having a love marriage, the loving couple gets married with the blessings of Hanumanji and starts a happy married life.
